We re building a Japanese tea house for our theme camp at Burning Man this year I found this book at the Mechanics Institute, a private library in the Financial District I joined earlier this year It s in amazing shape for a book that was published in 1935 Check out the unfaded color on the cover and the checkout history dating back to 1936 and it is a small pamphle

I found an edition from 1954 at a used book store and the age was part of the appeal This is a pretty charming rule book for hosting and participating in a cha no yu event Not sure it has much modern day application particularly if you re living outside Japan , but as a piece of social history it was a great find.
